Encouraging a lifelong love of learning

Music and Movement

The Music and Movement Program is offered weekly to all classes. It is developmentally appropriate, and integrates movement, dance, songs, stories, instruments, games, puppets and rhythmic finger plays to create a musical atmosphere in which children can begin to learn about and enjoy music. Children learn at their own pace, and use many gross motor skills to play games and use imaginative play. Older children talk about and play various instruments, and Kindergartners learn to play hand bells. The Music and Movement Program hopes to promote for all students a lifelong love of music.
