Welcome to Geneva's Summer Camp
My name is Bethany Ventura. I hold a Master's degree in Teaching and
Leading in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Towson University and currently teach
in Montgomery County Public Schools, serving students on the Autism Spectrum.
I just completed my sixteenth year teaching and every year brings me new growth,
challenges, and accomplishments.
I have three boys, Nathan, Camden, and Logan, and two dogs, Roxy and Maximus. We love being outside any chance we get! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and families, being outdoors in the sun, and cheering on the sidelines of sporting events!
Geneva Day School holds a special place in my heart, as I was a camp counselor and substitute here while attending college, and all three of my children have had the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in this nurturing environment. I have the luxury of working with an amazing group of staff and volunteers, many of whom I met when they were 2-5 years old, attending Geneva as students themselves. I look forward to creating new adventures in the directorship role of Geneva Summer Camp for Young Children!

To All New and Returning Families ::
As Director of Geneva Day School who taught here for over fifteen years and
as a parent who enrolled her three children in Geneva's extraordinary programs,
it is my delight to also head our Summer Camp.
Welcome to Geneva's Summer Camp for Young Children!
On the heels of receiving yet more "Best" recognitions from readers of "Bethesda Magazine" and "Potomac Magazine," as well as receiving Maryland Green School certification, it is an honor for Geneva to extend the traditions of the academic year into the warmest months. Summer invites energetic exploration of the out-of-doors and new, sun-filled friendships.
Here, our campers (aged two through six-and-a-half) learn about themselves and the larger world. They discover their environment through our innovative playground, invigorating gardens, and inspiring, nearby creek. Sports, water play, cooking, theater, gardening, story time, arts and crafts, and of course, our weekly themes are often shaped by the STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math) approach.
We hope that your children will join us for a meaningful summer that fosters a "lifelong love of learning."
Very truly yours,
Daisy Lizama
